The radiation machine is broken again. Dad has not received any radiation since Tuesday. He is to call in Monday morning to see if it is fixed yet. If you are reading this, please pray that the machine will be fixed and there will be no more problems from here on. Each day that he misses a treatment, prolongs the process. Dad is still holding up okay ( still weak, pain when eating) and God is constantly showing His mercy to our family.
1 Peter 1:3-9
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you (we) rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith- more precious than gold - that perishes though it is tested by fire- may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Hi Vern. It seems your patience is being tested with those machines breaking down so often, but we hope you are continually encouraged through the scriptures. Particularly by the scripture that Tammy posted on Friday. May the God of all comfort be with you every moment of every day. Take care our friend. You remain in our prayers.
Love, Al and Dianne

Hi Vern,

I am so sorry to hear about the radiation machine. I know how discouraging this could be to you but I also know how much faith and confidence you have in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Yesterday our Pastor, Randy did a sermom on the doldrums. While his sermom is way to much for me to write here, he did talk about the antidote to the doldrums. He reinforced that the antidote for discouragement is Praise and Thanksgiving (2 Chronicles 20:21-22). That's why I'm so thankful to know that you are always giving praise and thanksgiving to God.

Love you so much, Donna
